• As a Data Engineer, your primary responsibility is to design and implement a technical proof of concepts and prototypes related to data discovery, combining and processing using a suite of data engineering and analytics toolsets. • As part of the data engineering team, you will work closely with architects, data experts and concept and configuration owners on a variety of analytics projects. • Your solutions will consist of , from database designs , reusable data sets , optimized queries to fully automated data processing applications and analytics dashboards and visualizations. What we expect from you • As a Data Engineer, we expect you to independently manage complex data exploration requirements by designing innovative solutions in an agile and collaborative manner. • To succeed in this role , you have about 6 to 8 years of extensive proven hands- on experience in data and analytics development in following areas. • Databases , at least one of Oracle , SQL Server , MySQL • Expert level SQL scripting and query optimization. • ETL , Big Data Processing , Data Warehouse design. • Business intelligence reporting , analytics • Version management , Access control , data security • You as well possess a thorough understanding and passion for working with distributed computing engines (MPP , Stream processing) • In- memory and batch data processing engines ( SAP Hana , Apache Spark , Hadoop) • Advance data processing concepts data virtualization , federation Linux fundamentals , connectivity , cloud computing. Skills • You have strong problem solving , reverse engineering and debugging skills. • Excellent verbal and written communications skills in English. • Experience in any of the following areas would give you an extra advantage for this role. • Experience with Power BI and Microsoft Azure Data & Analytics technologies. • Experience with SAP data analytics and tools. • Desired Candidate • distributed computing engines (MPP , Stream processing)
