- Address queries from the product/data users (trading floor professionals, analysts, etc.) and other related front office entities on data, software, and services provided by Equities. - Production monitoring - Communicate with stakeholders in a timely manner and perform post-mortem analyses as needed - Build and maintain documentation related to various production systems, the accuracy/SLA of our data, and the performance of our tools. - Partner with cross-functional operations and technology teams to solve recurring problems and identify improvement opportunities - Develop scripts to simplify operations and work closely with technology developers on fixing issues that are critical to the business; document and track all changes in production - Drive requirements and organize documents related to operational activities as well as undertake new initiatives to improve business operations - Manage software deployments and application configuration changes - Interact with third-party data vendors for data and infrastructure issues and queries Desired Candidate: - The ideal candidate will be a graduate, preferably with a degree in computer science/IT, with at least two years of experience in a similar role - The candidate should have excellent communication and interpersonal skills - The candidate should possess excellent problem solving and logical reasoning skills, and they should be adept at meeting deadlines - Work experience in a Linux environment is a must. - Work experience in a Linux environment is a must - Exposure to shell scripting and application support environments are prerequisites - Hands-on programming at in at least one of the scripting languages - Familiarity with one or more programming languages, such as Python or Java.
