Roles and Responsibility: •Work closely with the office of the Chief Operating Officer, the Chief Financial Officer, business unit (BU) heads, and portfolio managers to create reports including P&L, capital, returns and fees, actual vs. budgeted expenses, and year-over-year changes in expenses (with key information highlighted and detailed commentary on deviations). • Handle P&L- and expenses- related ad-hoc requests from the stakeholders mentioned above, in addition to folks in groups like Investor Relations (IR), Corporate Development (CD), Tax, and Legal & Compliance, etc. • Ensure that recurring processes are accurate and delivered in a timely fashion (daily firm-wide P&L, monthly expense allocation, year-end activities, audits, etc.) • Change management: Understand and analyze changes in the firm’s businesses, such as expense chargeability to investors, new funds/businesses; and incorporate these changes into the reporting infrastructure (and subsequent reports) themselves. • Drive technology projects to build tools for reporting and analysis, streamline workflows, and improve user experience. • Act as the first point of contact and reviewer for the work done by junior team members. Skills Desired Candidate: 1. A master’s degree in finance or a Chartered Accountant degree, along with 3-6 years of relevant work experience in reporting or financial planning and analysis-related work like budgeting, forecasting, and expense and variance analysis 2. Attention to detail, proficiency with MS Excel, keen analytical skills, and effective written and verbal communication skills to interact successfully with senior management. 3. Prior experience in the hedge fund or investment banking industries is an added advantage Candidates with the relevant experience looking to restart their careers after a break are encouraged to apply for this position.
