Key responsibilities include:-
1. Brand Promotions
• Promote Products..
• Conduct demos in farmers fields to show the profitability of the brand.
• Conduct trials for new products. Provide feedback on the products under testing for that crop.
• Recruiting, training/instructing and supervising Market Development Trainees (MDTs) for their day to day promotional activities.
• Plan and implement promotional activities as per market requirement like Farmer meetings, Jeep campaigns, Crop seminars, Retailer meetings, Field days etc in co-ordination with sales team.
• Design and implement new innovative methods of product promotion methods.
• Monitor the competitor activities periodically with information to HO.
• Suggest introduction of new products as per the market needs.
• Monitor regularly the secondary sales / stock liquidation especially for priority products from dealer shop to the farmers.
2. Market Development
• Identifying and penetrating the new markets.
• Identifying new crops in the assigned territory.
3. Liaison
• Manage the Pyramid of Influence at the districts level / mandal level
• Regional agriculture universities.
• District agriculture department
• Krishi Vignan Kendras
• District research institutes / agriculture officer
• Progressive farmers
• Collect the data base of the Institutions and research centers and map the officials with the above mentioned data base.
• Ensuring compliance with Government regulations for the products launched in your respective territory.
• Maintain contacts with the right people to have firsthand information on the release of the tenders.
4. Administrative activities
• Promotional Budget expenses for the year and maintaining records periodically.
• Maintain vehicle running record in the prescribed log book.
• Maintain details of promotional expenses - target vs actuals.
