• Research, write and produce regular and bespoke analytical reports supporting on-going project activity and business development.
• Be prepared to contribute to in-person donor briefings.
• Monitor traditional and social media sources with the aim of providing context for COMPANY’S s Iraq-related analytical products. Themes for daily monitoring and directed research will be developed and regularly refined in cooperation with COMPANY’S s Insight Team.
• Collect and archive PDFs, Tweets, and audio-visual material relevant to thematic areas of focus.
• Coordinate closely with COMPANY’S analysts to holistically refine data collection processes and specific targets of research as project requirements evolve.
• Contribute to network mapping, social media analysis, narrative and summary reports and COMPANY’S programming outputs, as well as thematic situational reports, and other products designed to capture and visualize data and attitudes related community resilience and social cohesion in Iraq.
• Liaise with Iraq-based Arabic-speaking research networks while working on developing own source networks.
• Read, assess, and provide feedback on research network reports (Arabic) on a weekly basis to ensure quality reporting.
• Where required, aid in short translation projects between English and Arabic.
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:
Essential
• Fluent or native Arabic language (reading and verbal) is required.
• Fluent or native English language (reading, writing and verbal) is required.
• Impeccable analytical skills and capacity to articulate and communicate complex assessments both verbally and in writing.
• Ability to work in a fast-pace environment and meet tight deadlines.
• A fast-learner, with ability to work with teams and independently with little supervision.
• Master s degree or excellent Bachelors degree in a related subject is required.
Desirable
• Prior experience working in the Middle East is highly desirable and/or strong understanding of the Iraqi cont
