Principal Responsibilities
Direct Patient Care
1.Direct Patient Care based on Nursing Process
Assessment & Problem Identification
1.Obtains & documents a patient assessment which incorporates all available data/information.
2.Utilizes techniques of observation, interview, measurement and physical examination in making an assessment.
3.Assesses family adaptation, coping skills and the need for crisis or other intervention.
4.Identifies from assessment actual and potential problems in collaboration with patient and senior nursing personnel.
Planning
1.Plans and document a nursing care plan using the nursing process.
2.Plans priorities of nursing care.
3.Updates the nursing care plan continually as patient status demands.
4.Commences discharge planning as soon as it is feasible in co-operation with patient and significant
others. Reflects the same in written care plan.
Implementation
1.Delivers care using the nursing process, setting priorities in the delivery of care.
2.Delegates and supervise nursing care delivered by junior Staff Nurses.
3.Co-ordinates care delivered by other health professionals.
4.Provides care in a non-judgmental, non-discriminatory manner that is sensitive to the adult or elderly
patient’s and family’s diversity, preserving their autonomy, dignity and rights and is culturally competent.
5.reports patient condition to appropriate personnel during each shift
6.Provide family-centered care by communicating with the family regarding the changing health care needs
of their family member.
Evaluation
1.Evaluates each shift aspect of nursing intervention and document.
2.Revises care plans if outcomes cannot be met.
3.Communicates evaluation and subsequent plan to patient/significant others and healthcare team.
Human Resource Management
1.To participate in the performance appraisal of new Staff Nurses
Budgetary Management
1.To inform Nurse Manager/Head Nurse of malfunctioning equipment. To utilize resources effectively and efficiently.
Liaison and Communication
1.To support Complex’s policies and procedures. To attend nursing meetings on a regular basis.
Personal and Professional
1.To participate in professional organizations.
2.To maintain current trends in nursing practice and management through formal education and self-
development efforts.
3.To maintain professional knowledge, skills and accept responsibility for own education and career development.
Education
Bachelor of Nursing
Other Requirements
Dataflow and Prometric
Oman MoH License Will be added advantage
Working Hours:
Morning Shift – 10:00 am to 1:00 pm
Evening Shift- 5:00 pm to 9:30 pm
Working days- 6 Days working per week (One day off) but There will be duty on Friday
as per duty roaster.
Salary Details: 450 OMR + Accommodation + Air ticket every 2 years
Probation period: 3 Months
Notice Period: 3 Months
