Specific responsibilities of PSD’s Financial Facilitation Manager include, but are not limited to:
• Develop relationships with FIs/investors to catalyze financing and investment into SMEs in PSD’s target sectors
• Manage incentive structures to expand finance and investment to the target sectors, and support adaptive management of those structures to maximize impact
• Facilitate training and technical assistance to financial sector actors as required to enable them to improve their ability to expand lending to SME clients
• Field requests demand-driven training, and supervise subcontractors/consultants delivering training and technical assistance to FIs/investors
• Closely monitor deal closure and management, ensuring compliance with both financial and social impact requirements
• Facilitate partnerships/relationships between lenders and public and private risk mitigating partners
• Oversee management of the transaction advisory service provider network
• Support media activities as required (e.g. conduct interviews, write articles, speak at public events, etc.)
Required Qualifications:
• Master’s degree or equivalent in Business, Economics, International Development, or other relevant field
• Eight or more years of finance, banking, or fund management experience, preferably with exposure to one or more of the target sectors. Prior deal closure experience required
• Prior experience delivering training or technical assistance to financial sector actors
• Strong interpersonal skills and well-established relationships with the Sri Lankan and international FIs/investors
• Oral and written communication skills in English.
• Sri Lankan professionals preferred
